Tenfold Rooftop.

Chris Alvear, Tenfold Rooftop

Tenfold Rooftop, situated within the newly opened Kimpton Santo Hotel, is set to become one of San Antonio’s most distinguished open-air venues, generating considerable buzz as an upcoming luxury locale. Known for its breathtaking views and stylish ambiance, the bar promises to be a year-round destination where every experience is amplified—hence the name "Tenfold."

And one experience you definitely don’t want to miss is Alexander’s Penthouse, their twist on the classic Brandy Alexander. The base of the drink is heavy cream, which gives it that smooth, velvety texture that coats the tongue. From there, the cocktail takes an unexpected, yet delightful turn. The addition of Torani Tiramisu syrup brings a sweet, dessert-like richness—think decadent coffee and cocoa flavors. To kick it up a notch, Luxardo Espresso Liqueur offers a robust coffee flavor, deep and aromatic, with just the right amount of bitterness. And rounding it out, Licor 43 adds a vanilla-forward sweetness that balances the bitterness of the espresso, with a subtle citrus undertone that keeps the drink from feeling overly heavy. The final touch? Three toasted espresso beans, perfectly perched on top, bringing an extra layer of depth to each sip while nodding to the cocktail’s coffee and vanilla notes.

You have Chris Alvear to thank for this decadent creation. Originally from Laredo, Chris made his way to San Antonio as a young pup and always wanted to get into bartending. A true cocktail lover, Chris has a particular fondness for the Last Word (omg, me too!). Beyond his cocktail expertise, Chris is a fan of country music, especially the iconic George Strait, and he enjoys indulging in sushi.

Remember folks, life is too short for boring cocktails, so go ahead and pay Chris a visit at Tenfold Rooptop now through NYE to enjoy an Alexander’s Penthouse…or two.
